10MB Mediacom coming

So Cathy H. from Mediacom tipped me tonight on a new service coming April 1st for you gamers. 10MB Mediacom high speed internet. Instead of 3MB down and 256K up, you'll get 10MB down and 1MB up. This has always been available to businesses, but is just now being offered to residents. It'll cost ya of course. $79.95/month. Probably well worth it when your WOW is lagging...

At 9:50pm on February 27th, I'm pulling 1.4MB down and 252KB up. For an extra $33/month, it'll do for now.

Thanks, Cathy!

Windows Vista: The Versions

Windows Vista: The Versions

Here is Microsoft's official word on the versions of Vista it will release. Rumors of 8 versions, 6 versions, etc can be put to rest with this post. Unless of course it was another accidental post which Microsoft will promptly take back off the website until another time when they will "officially" announce the versions. :-)

Google Page Creator

Google Page Creator

This is sitting out there in Google Labs land, but they've already filled up with too many accounts. Looks like a quick and easy way for people with no HTML experience to create a webpage. All hosted by Google of course. Cool idea, we'll see if it ever graduates from Lab!

Google Talk in Gmail

Google Talk in Gmail

HOW SWEET IS THIS!?! My account has already been activated for saving Google Chat History, which is WICKED COOL. But even better, you won't need a Google Talk app since Google chat will be built right into Gmail (unless you use the voice calling feature). Hopefully there will be a seamless way to let you know when someone wants to chat without popping up their comment and interrupting your work. I'm a fan of the flashing bars at the bottom of the window. Kudos to Allman who pointed this one out!
